Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PwaNow ("PwaNow," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our hosting service for static sites and Progressive Web Apps, operated at pwanow.com and its subdomains (the "Service"). It should be read alongside our Terms of Service. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, this policy also covers information about the people at that organization who interact with the Service on its behalf.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and account credentials (handled by our authentication provider, Amazon Cognito) and any billing or contact details you provide.
Your Content. The site files, code, and other content you upload to host on the Service ("Your Content"), along with metadata about it such as site names, custom domains, upload timestamps, and storage and bandwidth usage.
API keys and MCP connections. If you create API keys or connect the hosted MCP server for AI-agent-driven workflows, we collect information about that connection, including which keys were used, when, and for what actions.
Usage and log data. Standard request logs generated when your sites are accessed by visitors or when you interact with our dashboard or API, including IP addresses, timestamps, requested paths, and user-agent strings. We use this data to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service and to meter data-transfer allowances under the Terms.
Payment information. Payment processing for paid plans is handled by Paddle.com, our payment provider and merchant of record. We don't receive or store your full payment card details; Paddle collects and processes that information directly, subject to its own privacy policy.
Communications. If you contact us for support or otherwise, we keep a record of that correspondence.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including serving Your Content, enforcing plan limits, and metering data transfer;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions, plan changes, and billing communications;
- Authenticate you and protect your account and API keys against unauthorized access;
- Respond to support requests and other communications you send us;
- Investigate and address suspected violations of our Acceptable Use terms or attempts to abuse the Service;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use Your Content (the site files and code you upload) for any purpose other than hosting and serving it as part of the Service.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Infrastructure providers. We host the Service on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which stores Your Content and account data on our behalf.
- Payment processing. Paddle.com processes payments and, as merchant of record, handles billing, invoicing, and applicable tax collection for paid plans.
- Authentication. Amazon Cognito manages account sign-in and credential storage.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm, investigate abuse, or protect the rights, property, or safety of PwaNow, our customers, or the public.
- Business transfers. If PwaNow is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy.
We don't share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our marketing pages (pwanow.com) don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Our dashboard and authentication flow use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. Sites you host on the Service are your own content, and any cookies or tracking technology they use is determined by you, not by PwaNow.
5. Data Retention
We retain account information and Your Content for as long as your account is active. If you delete a site or cancel your account, we may retain Your Content for a reasonable period afterward (for backup, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes) before deleting it, as described in the Terms of Service. Request logs are retained for a limited period sufficient for security, troubleshooting, and billing purposes, then deleted or aggregated.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures - including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure from AWS - to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Transfers
The Service is operated from the United States, and information we collect may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You can access, update, or delete most account information directly from the dashboard, including exporting or deleting Your Content and closing your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, such as the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at vanmeyconsulting@gmail.com. We'll respond in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll take steps to delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we'll post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date and, where practical, notify active account holders by email. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
